Back in March, I sent a letter to the editor of Popular Photography to comment on a photo of ice in the latest issue. In my letter, I mentioned that I had been experimenting with a unique method of sculpting and photographing ice, and sent a few samples as well as a link to my website. Later that day, John Owens, Editor in Chief of Popular Photography, replied and indicated that he was considering including an article and one of my images in the May 2008 issue. He asked me to write a short article and that was the last I heard about it. When the May issue arrived, and my article was not there, I was a little disappointed, but I was happy to have been considered. Much to my surprise, when I opened the June issue today, there was my photo and article! A scan of the page appears below. |
